Easy and family-Friendly Hike at the Lago Di Dobiacio

The lake offers a beautiful 4.5km nature trail, which takes you all around the lake and through parts of the surrounding forest in about 1,5 hours.

You can also find a nature trail along this walk, which is suitable for children as well. Eleven info points inform the visitors about the Flora and Fauna of the lake.

The trail starts at the parking lot at the eastern shore of the lake. It soon leads you into a more shady forest to the southern shore of the lake. The flora and fauna constantly changes and leaves you daydreaming about your adventures in the dolomites.

At the south shore, you will find a wooden footbridge, which leads you through the pine forests. You will cross a small stream, which eventually merges into the lake.

After walking through the pine forests, you will find a small field of stone sculptures at the western shore. From here you continue along the shore, where you will find several more viewpoints.

You finish the circuit at the campsite. Here you will find another famous photo spot, when crossing the bridge to the parking lot.

Enhanced Road trip suggestions

You can easily combine this stroll with a hike to the Rifugio Fonda-Savio or a visit of the Tre Cime Viewpoint (both at the Tre Cime National Parc) or the famous Lago di Braies (National Parc Fanes-Sennes-Prags).
